Polygons Measuring Spoon

Rahul Agarwal

Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design Polygons Measuring Spoon by Rahul Agarwal Polygons redesigns the measuring spoon as a flat tool that forms volume only when needed. A full set of six measures is compressed into two thin sheets. The volume is determined by the position it is picked up, then magnets guide and secure the shape. After use, it returns to a flat state for quick wiping and spreading to reduce food waste, and stores magnetically on the refrigerator. Translating origami principles into a washable, food safe product required novel structural engineering to ensure durability beyond 100,000 folds while reducing material use, storage space, and freight waste.
